Human Resources Assistant
About the Role
We are looking for an organized, energetic, and people-focused HR Administrator to support our Independence manufacturing facility and partner closely with the onsite HR Generalist. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys balancing administrative excellence with meaningful interactions with team members. You'll help create a positive workplace experience by supporting HR processes, coordinating employee events, assisting with onboarding, maintaining accurate records, and serving as a helpful resource for our team members.
Responsibilities
Team Member Support
- Serve as a friendly and approachable resource for team members seeking HR information and support.
- Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation activities.
- Help answer questions regarding policies, benefits, time off programs, and HR processes.
- Support employee communications and engagement initiatives.
- Assist with recognition programs and team member celebrations.
HR Administration & Data Management
- Maintain accurate team member records and HR documentation.
- Enter, track, audit, and verify employee information within HR systems.
- Assist with reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance-related documentation.
- Support leave administration processes and maintain required records.
Recruiting & Onboarding Support
- Assist with scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate visits.
- Support recruiting activities and applicant tracking processes.
- Coordinate pre-employment activities and onboarding requirements.
- Help create a welcoming and positive first-day experience for new team members.
Culture & Engagement
- Coordinate plant events, team member appreciation activities, holiday celebrations, lunches, and other employee engagement programs.
- Help support community involvement and culture-building initiatives.
- Partner with site leadership to create a positive and engaging workplace environment.
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the HR Generalist and site leadership team.
- Assist with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain organized files and documentation.
- Support various HR and safety-related activities as needed.
Requirements
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous administrative, office, customer service, HR, or coordination experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and a passion for helping people.

Pay
The hourly wage for this position is $21.00 to $24.00 per hour.
