About the role
The Human Resources Advisor serves as the first point of contact and Tier 1 resolution expert for all inbound inquiries—by phone, in-person, in writing, and electronically—regarding recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee health, employment policies and procedures, employee relations, talent and development, education, and workforce optimization. You will provide assistance for all Tier 1 questions and issues using a knowledge base, established training, policies, and procedures. You will also escalate and follow up on more complex Tier 2+ questions and concerns as needed, while maintaining electronic records of all interactions.
Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of calls and electronic communications.
- Evaluate and respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other electronic means, providing timely responses through a knowledge base and in accordance with our Service Level Agreement.
- Demonstrate trust, respect, compassion, community, and excellence at all times.
- Escalate more complex issues to Tier 2+ experts throughout HR and the health system.
- Create and maintain detailed, complete, and accurate records of all interactions in our case management system.
- Provide education and guidance to customers about available tools and resources.
- Perform general office duties, including data entry, mail sorting, copying, faxing, and document scanning.
- Assist in maintaining office supply inventories and office equipment to ensure adequate supply and functionality.
- Provide administrative support in HR functions, such as employment verification, management of employee certifications, facilitation of reimbursement requests, updating employee and contract worker files, and other duties as assigned.
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of information, protect sensitive information and PHI, report non-compliance, and adhere to all applicable regulatory agencies and organizational policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- 1+ years of customer service experience.
- 1+ years of human resources experience (preferred).
Physical Requirements
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Pay
Starting pay rate range: $18.00 - $22.50 per hour, determined by the knowledge, skills, and experience of the applicant.
