About the Role
The Human Resources Administrator supports day-to-day HR operations by maintaining accurate employee records, coordinating recruiting and onboarding activities, supporting benefits and employee programs, and responding to team member inquiries. This role helps ensure an organized, responsive, and positive employee experience while contributing to the efficiency of a busy HR department in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate HR records, personnel files, and documentation using HR systems.
- Support recruiting activities, including applicant sourcing, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes and related coordination.
- Respond promptly to routine team member questions and appropriately escalate complex issues.
- Support benefits administration through enrollment documentation, tracking, and follow-up.
- Assist with payroll-related administrative tasks and documentation.
- Coordinate employee recognition programs and related communications.
- Maintain and update HR documents, policies, notices, and personnel communications.
- Assist with HR reporting, data entry, special projects, and other administrative duties as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling employee information and sensitive HR matters.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing workloads, and respond effectively to short-notice requests.
- Strong ownership of assigned responsibilities with reliable follow-through and proactive communication.
- Ability to work independently in a virtual environment while remaining responsive and engaged with team members.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat is a plus.
- Ability to use HR systems and tracking tools for accurate data entry and reporting.
- Proficiency with general office equipment and basic mathematical calculations.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant administrative, HR, or operations support experience preferred.
- Experience supporting multiple business functions is preferred.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms and virtual work environments is helpful.
- Ability to pass required pre-employment drug testing and background screening.
