Key Responsibilities
- Employee Benefit Plan Administration
- Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollments, changes, and vendor coordination
- Process monthly premium statements for each benefits plan
- Serve as a resource to employees on benefit-related questions
- Support annual open enrollment and ongoing well-being initiatives
- Maintain up-to-date benefits information on the firm intranet
Time, Payroll & Coverage
- Oversee timekeeping processes and review timesheets for accuracy and trends
- Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate payroll processing
- Coverage of legal administrative staff schedules and coverage to ensure seamless day-to-day operations, provide temporary support as needed
HR Systems & Compliance
- Maintain HRIS data and employee records in compliance with firm and legal requirements, including benefits enrollments and change requests
- Support leave administration (FMLA, LOA) and required reporting
- Assist with data reporting, compensation studies, and audits
Employee Relations & HR Support
- Serve as a confidential resource for employee questions and concerns
- Serve as support for offboarding, exit processes, and performance management initiatives
- Aid in compliance matters, including ADA, EEOC, and other claims
- Provide back-up support for recruiting and staffing efforts as needed
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of experience in HR, with experience in benefits and payroll administration
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
