About the role
The Human Resources Administrator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource and admin department.
Essential Functions
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to new hires, staffing changes, and terminations.
- Affords assistance with onboarding by preparing offers, collecting paperwork, and setting up training dates.
- Maintains employee state licensing requirements, including maintaining documentation, tracking deadlines and renewals, and ensuring compliance with Division of Cannabis Control regulations.
- Affords assistance with managing internal and external job postings.
- Affords assistance with required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment matters.
- Ensures effective receipt of and/or proper approvals on forms.
- Affords assistance with payroll-related changes, including new hires, terminations, and wage adjustments, and maintains supporting documentation with HRIS system.
- Affords assistance with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and anything culture related.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
- Provides clerical and administrative support to the admin department.

Required Education and Experience
- 2-3 years of HR, administrative, or related experience.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Enthusiasm about the Medical Marijuana Industry.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Competent with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications.
