Human Resources & Accounting Specialist
About the role
HUMAN RESOURCES & ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST RSU #22 is seeking a Human Resources (HR) and Accounting Specialist to provide support in two key areas of the business office.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Payroll Manager in administering and managing employee benefit programs, the onboarding process, required external reporting related to HR and Payroll, and serves as a backup for payroll processing.
- Serves the Director of Finance by completing monthly reports and invoices for State agencies based on grant and program activities, monthly financial reports to program administrators, monthly bank reconciliations, and monitors the use of grant funds.
Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices
- Operating knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and Google Suite
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Familiarity with CFR Title 2 Part 200 The Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Award is a plus
