We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Consulting HR Operations & Accounting Specialist to join our thriving construction team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), SAGE, and advanced Excel.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of HR operations, including onboarding, termination, and tracking of employees.
- Maintain the utmost confidentiality when dealing with employee files and sensitive information.
- Cook up open enrollment and manage employee benefits, wage garnishments, and deductions.
- Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring all necessary documentation is in order.
- Oversee the quarterly close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Aid with job costing, providing detailed reports on labor and material costs for each project.
- Utilize HRIS and SAGE software to streamline HR and accounting processes.
- Aid with various projects, providing support where necessary.
- Collaborate with the Employment Development Department (EDD) on relevant matters.
- Participate in cross-training activities to foster a well-rounded understanding of all business operations.
- Generate comprehensive financial reports, utilizing advanced Excel skills.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in HRIS, SAGE, and advanced Excel.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, including onboarding, termination, and employee tracking.
- Experience with managing employee files and maintaining confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to handle wage garnishment and deductions.
- Proven track record in processing payroll and overseeing the quarterly close process.
- Experience with job costing and financial reporting.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and provide support where necessary.
- Experience with open enrollment and managing employee benefits.
- Familiarity with the EDD and relevant regulations.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
