Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement human resources policies, programs, and systems to support business objectives.
  • Work with managers and manufacturing floor supervisors to manage staffing needs.
  • Oversee employee relations, including handling grievances and mediation.
  • Administer the terms of the collective bargaining agreement through the grievance process.
  • Lead labor management meetings and participate in union contract negotiations.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment efforts and coach the manufacturing team on company policies and regulations.
  • Develop and implement personnel policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding management, employment, and performance issues.
  • Contribute to a cooperative, team-oriented work environment.
  • Lead an on-site HR team (up to two direct reports).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in a union environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and report on data.
  • Prior people management experience preferred.
