Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement human resources policies, programs, and systems to support business objectives.
- Work with managers and manufacturing floor supervisors to manage staffing needs.
- Oversee employee relations, including handling grievances and mediation.
- Administer the terms of the collective bargaining agreement through the grievance process.
- Lead labor management meetings and participate in union contract negotiations.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment efforts and coach the manufacturing team on company policies and regulations.
- Develop and implement personnel policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding management, employment, and performance issues.
- Contribute to a cooperative, team-oriented work environment.
- Lead an on-site HR team (up to two direct reports).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of experience in a union environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and report on data.
- Prior people management experience preferred.
