About the role
The Human Resource Manager is responsible for overseeing recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, training, compliance, workers compensation, accommodations, benefits, FMLA / ADA, Guard Card compliance, and basic HR functions including special projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, training, compliance, workers compensation, accommodations, benefits, FMLA / ADA, Guard Card compliance, and basic HR functions including special projects.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, federal/local state laws and conducting investigations, suspensions, and terminations.
- Active listening and communication skills, good personal presentation, politeness and tact, and ability to function in a high-pressure environment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent within 6 months.
- Above average computer / technology skills.
- Impeccable customer service and team leadership skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Great attention to detail.
- Willingness to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
- Heavy recruiting experience.
- Employee relations experience.
- Ability to advise management.
- Strong planning and organizing skills.
Qualifications
- Must have 1 year of HR experience.
