Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for all human resources functions. This role partners with executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support the Company's business objectives while ensuring legal compliance, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and employee retention initiatives.

  • Manage employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.

  • Participate in workforce planning sessions to identify talent priorities and develop strategies that support business goals.

  • Ensure compliance with Human Resources policies and procedures, personnel records management, employee relations investigations, and personnel actions, including salary and promotion recommendations.

  • Develop, maintain, and update job descriptions while assigning appropriate job grades and classifications.

  • Administer compensation, benefits, payroll, and time and attendance programs.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Oversee employee training, leadership development, succession planning, and talent management initiatives.

  • Manage the annual performance evaluation process and support employee development programs.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations and provide recommendations regarding HR initiatives, recruitment strategies, and employee development programs.

  • Communicate HR policies and procedures to managers to ensure consistent application and compliance.

  • Provide direct Human Resources support to corporate and field operations.

  • Support organizational development, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor HR metrics and analyze workforce data to recommend strategies that improve employee engagement, retention, and organizational performance.

  • Partner with executive leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, organizational design, and strategic HR initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.

  • 7–10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibilities.

  • Professional certification preferred (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR).

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and HR best practices.

  • Knowledge of California employment law is preferred.

  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP Workforce Now, Paycom, SAP SuccessFactors, or Workday is preferred.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Comfortable interacting with and advising executive leadership, including members of the C-suite.

  • Must be able to work onsite.

  • Willing and able to travel up to 15%.
