About The Role

The Associate Experience Manager plays a vital role in fostering an inclusive, engaged, and informed workforce across Ross's stores (including Ross and dd's) and supply chain locations. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Associate Relations, this position is responsible for driving positive workplace initiatives, developing strategic partnerships with stakeholders, and enhancing the overall associate experience.

This role involves collaborating with various cross-functional teams such as Operations, Human Resources, and Centers of Expertise to implement initiatives that improve employee engagement and workplace culture. The Associate Experience Manager will also lead efforts in communication, change management, and employee feedback analysis to ensure a supportive and productive environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in Human Resources and/or operations
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred
  • Experience with HR programs, federal and state employment laws, compliance, and change management principles
  • Strong knowledge of positive employee and labor relations practices
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with associates and leaders at all levels
  • Human Resources certifications such as PHR or SPHR are desirable
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create compelling data presentations

Responsibilities

  • Engage with leaders and associates to improve the overall employee experience and increase engagement levels
  • Identify and recommend strategies to enhance manager performance and skill development; facilitate training for managers and supervisors on approachable leadership
  • Manage sensitive associate relations matters with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment
  • Prioritize and manage multiple high-priority projects effectively, ensuring deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain high attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all deliverables
  • Remain calm and confident when facing opposition or challenging situations; respond with professionalism and sound judgment
  • Establish rapport with associates at all levels, gather feedback, and represent associate perspectives to inform communication and change strategies
  • Collaborate on creative, associate-focused solutions and lead change management initiatives
  • Evaluate the impact of new programs on associates and employ appropriate change strategies to facilitate adoption
  • Lead and analyze engagement surveys, providing insights and strategies to foster a motivated and committed workforce
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to develop initiatives that promote positive employee relations
  • Monitor developing issues that could impact labor relations and provide ongoing feedback to HR and leadership teams
  • Investigate associate complaints through surveys and pulse checks, recommending appropriate actions to resolve issues
  • Perform other related projects and duties as assigned by leadership
