Yancey Bros. Co., established in 1914, serves as the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer for Georgia, focusing on the provision of high-quality sales, parts, and service.
Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Staffing:
- Oversee the recruitment and hiring process, including job postings, candidate screenings, interviews, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with managers and supervisors to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, resolving conflicts and promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Manage employee disciplinary procedures and terminations in accordance with company policies.
- Facilitate communication between employees and management.
- Performance Management:
- Implement performance evaluation program and its effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on performance-related issues.
- Identify training needs and create or coordinate development programs.
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Administer and support employee benefits programs, including annual enrollment in health insurance, participation in wellness programs, and supporting team members who are planning for retirement.
- Afford assistance to resolve any hours/pay issues prior to payroll deadlines.
- Compliance & Legal:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
- Afford assistance in updating and enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Conduct investigations and maintain records of all HR-related matters.
- Training & Development:
- Plan and conduct training sessions on various HR topics.
- Support the professional development of employees through continuous learning opportunities.
- HR Strategy:
- Contribute to the development of HR strategies that align with overall business objectives.
- Analyze HR metrics and provide reports to senior management to support decision-making.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the HR function.
Qualifications
- The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in human resources, business administration, or a related field or related equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years in a human resource management.
- Professional HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
Skills
- Bilingual abilities are a plus - read, write, and speak Spanish.
