Job Summary
At Pretium Packaging, we are searching for an onsite, hands-on, Human Resources Manager in our Manchester, Pennsylvania plant. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, serving as a strategic advisor to plant leadership and championing employees at every level.
Why This Role Matters
This isn’t a sit-behind-the-desk HR role. You’ll serve as the HR leader in our manufacturing facility, acting as the strategic advisor to plant leadership while championing employees at every level of the organization. Your influence will shape engagement, retention, safety culture, and leadership capability across entire operations.
Frontline Recruitment
- Create and implement staffing and hiring plans and spearhead proactive plantwide workforce planning activities.
- Conduct on-site job fairs and host external hiring events to ensure consistent, proactive frontline recruitment occurs.
- Engage with local community-based organizations and initiate continuous outreach activities to increase candidate talent pools.
Culture & Engagement
- Lead employee relations, conflict resolution, and engagement initiatives.
- Bridge communication between leadership and frontline employees.
Strategic Leadership
- Architect and execute HR strategies aligned to business and operational goals.
- Partner with plant leadership to drive organizational performance and workforce planning.
- Provide data-driven insights through HR analytics and reporting.
Organizational Development
- Drive succession planning, leadership development, and retention strategies.
- Assess training needs and implement workforce development programs.
Performance & Total Rewards
- Lead performance management programs that elevate accountability.
- Partner with corporate HR on compensation and benefits strategy.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, HR best practices, and safety standards.
- Support and reinforce plant safety and employee well-being programs.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven success as an HR Manager in manufacturing or an industrial environment.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence operational leaders.
- Deep expertise in employee relations, talent strategy, and compliance.
- Strength in HRIS systems (UKG experience is a plus), metrics, and workforce analytics.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Education & Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish/English ability a plus!
