Human Resource Generalist

Responsibilities
- Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company employees
- Aids in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Maintains and updates employee handbook and policies and procedures manual
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Plans, organizes, and controls all activities of the department
- Administers compensation program
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees
- Partners with the legal department as needed
- Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt employees, students, and temporary employees
- Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing
- Assists in evaluating reports, decisions, and results of the department in relation to established goals
- Supervises receptionist, delegates projects as appropriate, and ensures coverage of the front desk in the receptionist’s absence
- Oversees special events for staff by coordinating committees and staying within budget
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the position

Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Preferred: 4 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment

Skills
Knowledge of principles and practices of employee administration, adaptability, and continuous improvement skills are essential.
