Day Kimball Health is hiring for a Human Resource Coordinator to join our Human Resource team in Putnam, CT. Schedule: Day Shift, 40 Hours Per Week. Weekends: if applicable.

Summary

As the Human Resource Coordinator, you will be a vital member of a dynamic team responsible for supporting the Vice President of Human Resources with administrative tasks, executive administration, and ensuring efficient workflow within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Vice President of Human Resources with any administrative tasks.
  • Acts as primary greeter, accepts and screens incoming calls, receives visitors, and orders office supplies.
  • Works closely with the Vice President of Human Resources to coordinate activities and administrative support.
  • Serves as a resource to the HR team and supports departmental operations.
  • Completes all verifications of employment.
  • Properly codes and prepares vendor invoices for payments.
  • Fills in, refers, and directs the CEO, CFO, VP’s, Directors, Managers, and handles employee concerns in the absence of the Vice President of Human Resources.
  • Supports the Total Rewards Analyst in the administration and coordination of the annual Open Enrollment process, including employee communications, enrollment activities, and related administrative tasks.
  • Processes and maintains employee tax form updates and personnel record changes within the HR information system, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
  • Collaborates with the designated representative responsible for educational affiliation agreements with colleges, universities, and high schools to facilitate student shadowing and clinical rotation programs. Ensures all affiliation agreements and related documentation are accurately maintained, organized, and current.
  • Supports the Board of Directors scholarship program by coordinating the application process and assessing eligibility requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and proof of current liability insurance as well as reliable vehicle required.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of Administrative Assistant experience preferred.

  • Reasoning: Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Reading: Read newspapers and periodicals, scientific and professional journals, abstracts and financial reports.
