About the role
The Human Resources Coordinator at Minneapolis Golf Club is responsible for originating and leading HR practices and objectives that foster a high-performance culture emphasizing empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards. This position reports to the Controller and assists managers with HR issues.
Responsibilities
- Manages employee onboarding/offboarding process
- Coordinates employment and compliance, regulatory concerns, and reporting
- Develops and documents policies and programs
- Provides employee orientation, development, and training
- Manages employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health programs
- Administers LOA processes and documentation
- Led talent acquisition initiatives and recruiting
- Updates employee handbook with legal council
- Directs and administers team programs and activities
- Assists in managing and resolving complex employee relations issues
- Conducts thorough and objective investigations
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources
- Competence in various HR functional areas: recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, and organizational development
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Elevated level of judgment and discretion
- High sense of urgency, initiative, and common sense
- Professional and courteous demeanor
- Attention to detail, strong multitasking abilities, and ability to prioritize workload
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- Preferred experience in the hospitality industry
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification
