About the role

The Human Resources Coordinator at Minneapolis Golf Club is responsible for originating and leading HR practices and objectives that foster a high-performance culture emphasizing empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards. This position reports to the Controller and assists managers with HR issues.

Responsibilities

  • Manages employee onboarding/offboarding process
  • Coordinates employment and compliance, regulatory concerns, and reporting
  • Develops and documents policies and programs
  • Provides employee orientation, development, and training
  • Manages employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health programs
  • Administers LOA processes and documentation
  • Led talent acquisition initiatives and recruiting
  • Updates employee handbook with legal council
  • Directs and administers team programs and activities
  • Assists in managing and resolving complex employee relations issues
  • Conducts thorough and objective investigations

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Competence in various HR functional areas: recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, and organizational development
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
  • Elevated level of judgment and discretion
  • High sense of urgency, initiative, and common sense
  • Professional and courteous demeanor
  • Attention to detail, strong multitasking abilities, and ability to prioritize workload
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Preferred experience in the hospitality industry
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
