About the role
The Human Resource Coordinator supports all areas of the Human Resources Department, providing administrative support and assisting with day-to-day HR functions. Key responsibilities include new hire orientation, processing Personnel Action Forms, coordinating HR programs, and responding to employee inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Administers new hire orientation and onboarding
- Creates Personnel Action Forms for changes, new hires, terminations, and other tasks
- Affixes job descriptions for new positions
- Records and maintains employee records
- Supports Employee Relations
- Completes employment verification requests
- Enters data accurately into databases
- Writes routine reports and correspondences
- Communicates with external contacts
- Performs basic mathematical computations
- Multi-tasks and meets deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management or a related field
- At least 2 years of Human Resource experience
- Experience supporting a unionized workforce
- Certification in Human Resource Management
- Experience using an HRIS system
- Workday and Deltek experience preferred
- Proven work experience in an area requiring high levels of accuracy or auditing
