About the role
JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey. Through partnerships with socially responsible companies, youth organizations, and civic-minded college students, we deliver innovative, hands-on and online after-school projects that develop teamwork, problem-solving skills, and self-esteem. Join our mission as a Human Resource Generalist to support the HR and Talent teams with planning, organizing and directing human resources activities in support of the mission of the organization. Work with the Senior HR Generalist on human resources operations and develop and implement effective HR processes across the organization. Serve as a liaison between the HR team and the rest of the organization.
Requirements
- 1+ years of broad Human Resources experience with exposure to HR Operations
- $100 refundable deposit (waived for K-12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students)
Skills
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Well organized, with strong attention to detail
- Comfort supporting a virtual HR team
- Resourceful and creative

Schedule
Flexible hours, 3‑6 hours per week; minimum six‑month commitment.
