About the Role
Holt Truck Centers is seeking a dynamic Truck Shop Supervisor responsible for scheduling and prioritizing all work performed in the assigned area. This position involves providing quotes for jobs, reviewing work orders for customer billing, communicating with customers, ensuring shop safety practices, and complying with shop operating policies. The role is critical for ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction.
The incumbent is expected to model the following practices daily: alignment with the company's mission and core business values, collaboration with key internal and external resources, and ongoing self-development.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely daily updates on production and available manpower to the Manager to ensure customer satisfaction and scheduling of new work.
- Establish, communicate, and mutually agree upon job expectations with internal and external customers to align with the company’s mission and core business values.
- Review all flat-rate quotes and projects to ensure a fair return on company investment while providing fair value to customers.
- Establish, monitor, and evaluate quality control standards for all jobs, including developing performance standards for shop employees.
- Provide the Manager with service SIMS reports to ensure work order accuracy and proper information for warranty claims.
- Submit machinery and tooling requests for capital budget consideration, including pricing and availability details.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of shop repair and troubleshooting experience.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience highly desired.
- GED or High School diploma required.
- Proficiency with computers (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Well-organized, thoughtful, and self-motivated with strong people skills.
- Steady employment history.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact well with customers and employees.
- Valid driver’s license; must be able to obtain a CDL – Class B.
- Must obtain a forklift license within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized with a strong commitment to completing tasks in a timely manner.
- Excellent attendance and work performance record.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Occasional additional hours as required.
