Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage all documents related to the HSET department including HSET materials, manuals, procedures, records, and reports.
- Update training material to support Technical Instructors.
- Aid in the preparation and formatting of documents, presentations, and reports.
- Develop administrative documents and reports.
- Ensure that all documents are properly filed, categorized, and stored in both physical and digital formats.
- Coordinate the distribution and retrieval of documents as needed by the HSET team and other departments.
- Manage the approval and justification process for HSET material updates.
- Manage live documents including risk assessments.
- Follow the Redpath document control process onsite.
- Manage version control of SWPs, lesson plans, technical presentations, theory and practical assessment booklets.
- Regularly update and revise training materials and documents to reflect changes in industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage open training files in paper form until complete, then digitize and file.
- Scan, file, and manage all documents on SharePoint.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure consistency and alignment of documentation practices.
- Aid in the development and implementation of document control policies and procedures.
- Schedule training in accordance with training needs analysis, refresher training required, and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with operations to confirm training scheduled.
- Serve as a point of contact for training-related queries and concerns from employees and management.
- Manage the movement of people to and from the training center and the mine.
- Collect required equipment and material for required training.
- If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible user of company vehicles.
- Keep work areas safe and free of hazards.
- Perform field level risk assessments.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Experience in computer software packages including Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in a training or educational environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of computer software packages including Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems is highly desirable.
- Must be able to demonstrate proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Knowledge of the mining industry underground environment desirable.
- Knowledge and understanding of mine regulations pertaining to construction in mining.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience with digital document management systems and software.
