Reporting to the HRIS Manager

  • Serve as the primary functional resource for Vista by Viewpoint, including system configuration, end user support, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide day-to-day support for Vista Payroll, Vista Portal and HR modules to end users.
  • Set up and maintain tables/System Configuration: HR and Payroll core tables, including Departments, Locations, earnings, deductions, etc.
  • Analyze current business processes and recommend system-driven improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support the triaging of integration discrepancies.
  • Aid in building and maintaining custom reports and queries using Vista’s reporting tools.
  • Aid in data imports/exports with the technical team.
  • Aid in researching new functionality delivered by the system vendors and determine impact to our current set-up and how to implement.
  • Aid in gathering data/requirements for new projects.
  • Create documentation & training materials for end-users on processes and procedures.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Create test plans & testing scenarios based on requirements.
  • Create test scripts to prove each scenario through system and user acceptance testing.
  • Complete data validations & testing during projects and new development.
  • Provide secondary back-up support for Workday payroll processes.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and manage multiple, dynamic priorities.
  • Communicates effectively and demonstrates ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willing to work extra during peak times, when needed, to complete assignments on-time and meet deadlines.
  • Provides well-written and effective professional and technical documentation.

Essential Functions

Education Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree (preferably in HR or IT) or applicable experience in HRIS, HR or Benefits.
  • Preferred: 3+ years experience with Vista by Viewpoint supporting implementations and post go-live support and optimizations.
  • Required: Experience with Vista configuration and reporting.
  • Required: Experience with Vista’s HR, Payroll and Portal.
  • Preferred: Experience with Crystal Reports or Viewpoint Analytics.
  • Preferred: Experience with data imports/exports between Vista and Workday.
  • Preferred: Experience with union payroll, certified payroll in Vista.

Experience Qualifications

  • Required: Strong computer skills working with Microsoft office including Excel, Outlook, Word and Power Point.
  • Required: Solid understanding of ERP systems, data structures, and system workflows.
  • Required: Proven organizational skills with an ability to prioritize work in an environment with competing demands.
  • Required: Demonstrates self-awareness and desire to develop personal capabilities.
  • Required: Ability to hold themselves to high standards.
  • Required: Courage to take initiative in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances.
  • Required: Ability to communicate across multiple levels of the organization (system concepts to non-system stakeholders).
  • Required: Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Required: Ability to maintain confidentiality and a high degree of integrity.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Able to sit/stand at a desk in front of a computer for 8 hours daily.
