Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, hiring strategies, and organizational needs
- Must be comfortable managing hands-on HR responsibilities as well as building the infrastructure
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Administer & oversee benefits, compensation and leave programs
- Oversee personnel policies & procedures, updating the Employee Handbook as needed
- Maintain HR compliance on federal, state & local levels
- Implement strategies for recruiting, retention and succession planning in collaboration with leadership
- Oversee talent acquisition including job posting, sourcing, interviewing and onboarding
- Manage onboarding and offboarding of employees
- Work with managers on employee relations issues and provide training, as needed
- Identify areas of improvement and provide training
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Business or HR preferred with Certification
- Must have at least 5 years of HR management experience preferably as a standalone HR lead
- Experience in payroll, recruiting, compliance and general HR responsibilities is REQUIRED
- Must have familiarity with employment law and compliance
- PREFERRED experience in small company setting
- Must be a team player with strong collaborative skills
- Must possess strong problem-solving skills
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
