About the role

In this role, you operate at a professional level alongside the HR team to support manufacturing operations. You apply your HR expertise across benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy administration, recruitment, employment law compliance, and ensuring consistent adherence to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel and interns, including coordinating and conducting new associate orientations and other onboarding activities, dedicating approximately 50% of your time to these activities.
  • Maintain human resource information system records and compile accurate and timely reports from the HR database.
  • Assist with company-wide communications to ensure clear and consistent messaging to associates.
  • Coordinate associate events and wellness activities that support engagement and well-being.
  • Serve as the first point of HR contact for associates regarding compensation, payroll, benefits, employment verifications, and a wide range of other HR-related inquiries.
  • Administer and support HR site-level company events, employee giveaways, benefits enrollment activities, and orientation sessions.
  • Assist with tracking and administration of various leave programs, including FMLA, short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), and personal leaves.
  • Support the administration of human resource plans and procedures for all personnel, including assisting with the implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Communicate and reinforce the associate handbook and corporate policies to ensure understanding and compliance.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including open enrollment processes, documentation, and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Support associate relations activities, including counseling and conducting exit interviews as needed.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars to stay informed and contribute to HR initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state employment regulations and ensure HR practices align with applicable laws.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned to support the overall effectiveness of the HR function.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in an HR department.
  • Experience with federal and state employment regulations such as FLSA, EEOC, ADA, and FMLA.
  • High level of organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task with a high sense of urgency, including effective priority setting and time management.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently as needed.
  • Strong ethical conduct and sound judgment in handling confidential information.
  • Excellent working knowledge and experience with current Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional overall computer skills.

Additional qualifications

  • 2 or more years of preferred experience in supply chain and/or manufacturing environments.
  • HR certifications are preferred.
  • Prior work experience in a unionized site is preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Copilot is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors is preferred.

Work environment

This is a full-time, on-site role in a manufacturing-focused environment, with a Monday through Friday schedule and flexible start and end times within standard business hours. You collaborate closely with HR colleagues, operations teams, and associates across the facility. The work involves frequent use of computers and HR information systems, with extensive use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and may include working with platforms like SAP SuccessFactors and Microsoft Copilot. The environment is professional and fast-paced, requiring strong organization, responsiveness, and a high sense of urgency. Dress is typically business casual, appropriate for an office setting within a manufacturing site. The culture emphasizes ethical conduct, clear communication, collaboration, and support for associate engagement and wellness through events and activities.

Pay

  • $23.00 - $25.00/hr

Schedule

Monday through Friday, with a start time between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and an end time between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., depending on business needs.

Location

This is a fully onsite position in Eau Claire, WI. This is a Contract position.
