HR & Recruiting Coordinator
About the role
The Human Resources & Recruiting Coordinator provides administrative support to the Human Resource & Recruiting department in a complex, fast-paced mechanical construction organization with union & non-union employees across 17 unions, nationwide. This role provides hands-on HR support in employee onboarding, HR systems, recruiting and general support of the full employee lifecycle administration. This position requires strong attention to detail, customer service, sound judgment & strong collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Performs clerical & customer service functions for the HR & Recruiting department.
- Affords assistance to HR Generalists with new hire onboarding, including processing new hire paperwork, I-9s completion.
- Processes new hire background checks & drug screens.
- Creates & maintains employee files.
- Pulls multiple HR reports on regular cadence.
- Maintains & updates EEO data spreadsheets.
- Performs verifications of employment.
- Processes terminations & conducts exit interviews.
- Helps maintain HR policy and employee handbook updates.
- Tracks candidates and hiring activity in ATS.
- Affords assistance with recruitment by scheduling interviews & drafting offer letters.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction and/or union workforce is a plus.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- At least two-years related HR or Admin experience required.
- SHRM-CP credential is a plus.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000. (The compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience).
