WingSwept is an award-winning, employee-owned technology service provider seeking an HR & Recruiting Assistant to facilitate recruitment, provide HR support, and manage sensitive employee data.
About the role
This is a new, full-time position within our growing company.
Responsibilities
- Master the HRIS and ATS software
- Build and maintain trust and rapport with employees
- Provide first-level HR support to employees
- Maintain appropriate privacy, confidentiality, and information security
- Work with executives and hiring managers to understand competencies and requirements for various roles
- Actively seek out and develop relationships with qualified candidates for future positions
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates and foster their interest in WingSwept
- Facilitate steps in the recruitment, hiring, and interview process for open positions
- Administer assessments for candidates as needed during the interview process
- Maintain a high standard for candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Serve as an initial point of contact for new and prospective employees while representing and promoting our core values
- Gain and maintain understanding of WingSwept’s benefit offerings and explain them to candidates and employees
- Additional responsibilities to be added after mastery of the core duties
Requirements
- Adhere to WingSwept’s core values: Honest, Eager, Accountable, Respectful, and a Team Player
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- High school diploma; at least two years of secondary education preferred
- Some recruiting and/or sales experience preferred
- Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week from our office in Garner, NC, with occasional travel to our Chantilly, VA office (estimated at 2-4 times per year)
- Exceptional computer skills on Microsoft-based clients
- Firm understanding of Human Resources basics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with candidates and coworkers
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
- Thirsty for knowledge and determined to get the job done
- Willing and able to reach out to passive candidates and foster interest in future roles
- Must have or quickly develop a strong understanding of passive recruitment, including sales-related aspects, cold-calling, and relationship-building
