We're looking for an experienced, energetic HR Recruiter Specialist to help drive our people strategy through what we call the Six Rs: recruitment, retention, rejuvenation-plus research, react, and respect.

Responsibilities

• Play a critical role in attracting, engaging, and retaining talent that fuels our mission.
• Use systems and data to track, report, and improve results.
• Represent HFY at job fairs, community events, and other recruitment initiatives.
• Drive our people strategy through the Six Rs.

Requirements

• HR or recruiting experience.
• Solid understanding of employment laws, especially in hiring and recruiting.
• Fast-paced environments and move with urgency, flexibility, and a "figure it out" mindset.
• Organized, process-driven, and known for strong follow-through.
• Reliable daily access to a personal vehicle for recruitment activities and travel.
• Dependable and professional onsite presence; consistently meets schedule and job expectations.
• Willing and able to represent HFY at job fairs, community events, and other recruitment initiatives.
• Physical requirements: read/write reports and log entries, walking/standing for prolonged periods, bending/stooping, kneeling/squatting, climbing stairs, reaching overhead, repetitive wrist/finger movements, driving, and ongoing access to reliable vehicle and driving own vehicle for work.

Qualifications

• BA degree in Human Resources a plus or 1-2 years HR recruiting experience required.
• Additional qualifications include experience in a nonprofit or social services environment, and a team-first mindset.
