About the role
We are looking for an HR Recruiter to support high-volume hiring for a manufacturing environment in Bridgeview, Illinois. This contract opportunity is fully onsite and focuses on attracting and evaluating skilled trades and hourly workforce talent across multiple locations. The person in this role will partner closely with hiring leaders, manage interview coordination, and keep recruitment activity organized through modern sourcing and tracking tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for high-volume manufacturing and labor openings, including mechanics, millwrights, production employees, general labor staff, and driver-related positions.
- Identify, screen, and assess candidates to determine alignment with role requirements, work environment, and hiring priorities.
- Conduct virtual interviews using Microsoft Teams and guide applicants through the selection process in a thorough and timely manner.
- Coordinate interview schedules and arrange meetings between candidates and hiring managers across multiple sites, including Bridgeview and other operating locations.
- Maintain accurate candidate records, application updates, and hiring activity within an applicant tracking system.
- Communicate consistently with managers to clarify staffing needs, provide candidate updates, and support efficient hiring decisions.
- Use Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Outlook to organize recruiting activity, track progress, and manage scheduling.
- Support hiring for union and hourly positions while ensuring recruiting practices remain consistent, responsive, and well documented.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of recruiting experience, including a minimum of 1 year focused on labor, manufacturing, or production hiring.
- Background recruiting for high-volume hourly roles in an industrial, plant, or manufacturing setting.
- Experience conducting candidate interviews and evaluations through video-based platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook, along with strong general technical skills.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience using an applicant tracking system; familiarity with SuccessFactors is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple openings, coordinate interviews efficiently, and maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work onsite and collaborate directly with hiring managers.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $24/hr. to $44/hr.
