Duties
- Maintain confidentiality of personal and private information
- Provide excellent customer service to all walk-ins, phone calls and emails in a professional manner
- Ensures department filing is accurate, organized and complete
- Manages employee documents and training materials
- Payroll system maintenance
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Perform weekly orientations
- Responsible for onboarding processing and procedures
- Assists with health insurance renewals and open enrollment
- Responds to Unemployment and Verification of Employment inquiries
- Draft Employee Newsletter and flyers for employee parties, special events and hiring needs.
- Design projects as assigned (employee suggestion program, incentive programs, reward programs)
- Affords assistance with Safety Program design and implementation
- Main point of contact for the HR email
Skills
- General knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Safeguarding confidential information
- Facilitating and mediating sensitive and/or confrontational matters in a professional manner
- Proficiency with Paycom
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multitasking
- High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to develop strong relationships and trust with others
- Work collaboratively with others to achieve desired results
Experience
- 1-2 years in a human resources role
- Led leadership experience a plus
- High school diploma required
- SHRM membership preferred, SHRM certificate a plus
