HR Operations Intern
About the role
This internship is designed to provide exposure across core HR functions while supporting key operational priorities, including internship hiring, onboarding, and HR service delivery. The intern will support HR Operations through a rotational experience across Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, and Leave functions. This internship will be during the fall semester (September - December 2026) and the schedule and number of hours will be determined based on the selected individual's class schedule.
What you’ll do
- Adhere to and champion our core values of curious minds, collaborative hearts, and continuous excellence
- Aid with interview phone screens for internship and entry-level candidates
- Support onboarding and new hire orientation processes
- Provide administrative and project support across HR initiatives (e.g., job descriptions, process improvements)
- Support leave administration processes, including documentation and coordination
- Aid with FMLA-related activities and training preparation
- Gain exposure to HR Business Partner functions, including employee relations and progressive discipline processes
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Relevant coursework in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Business Management, or Employment Law preferred
- Junior or senior standing preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous internship, customer service, administrative, or campus leadership experience preferred
- Previous experience working in a professional, team-based environment is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
- Strong interest in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or business operations
- Experience working with confidential or sensitive information in a professional or academic setting preferred
- Exposure to recruiting, onboarding, HR processes, or employee support activities is a plus
- Basic understanding of Human Resources functions preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
