About the role
The HR Manager will oversee and direct all HR team members for the company's Northern California office locations. The company provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities and currently operates in Sacramento, San Jose, Ukiah, and other locations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the HR team
- Direct and implement HR policies and procedures
- Manage employee relations and resolve conflicts
- Develop and implement training programs for employees
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and employment regulations
- Manage benefits and compensation packages
- Plan and execute recruitment activities
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors
Requirements
- A minimum of two years of HR experience, preferably with experience in directly supervising other HR employees
- A bachelor’s degree (relevant experience can be considered in place of education)
- Prior experience working in the social services/healthcare industry is a major plus
- Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required
Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills and a high level of work ethic
- Observant and proactive in improving team performance and increasing efficiency
- Good knowledge of labor law regulations and other relevant employment/employer relationship policies
- Reliable with a solid history of attendance
- Enjoy occasional travel to other office locations and have reliable transportation
- Not enjoy sitting still at a desk and working from home, and prefer a fast-paced environment

$74,880 - $79,040/year (Exempt)
