About the role

This position oversees all human resource functions within a single facility, managing both manufacturing and salaried/office employees. The role provides strategic direction and change management support to enhance talent, culture, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a safety leader and prioritizes safety in all responsibilities
  • Serves as a key member of the leadership team, supporting WCOM initiatives and leading the T&E pillar
  • Promotes and supports Amcor health and wellness initiatives
  • Manages employee inquiries and escalations, ensuring timely and appropriate responses
  • Delivers and coordinates annual trainings, including union avoidance, anti-harassment, core values, etc.
  • Provides guidance on performance coaching, PIPs, IDPs, HCPs, succession planning, salary planning, etc.
  • Manages workforce planning initiatives, including organizational redesign, talent review/selection, job description creation and analysis, promotions, etc.
  • Conducts employee investigations, discipline, and terminations
  • Partners with business leaders and serves as a member of the leadership team
  • Manages project teams and generates company-wide projects from Business Partners and the Corporate HR function
  • Collaborates with HR COE and Shared Services to align with business needs in HR program creation and delivery
  • Liaises between employees, unions (if applicable), and management, providing union avoidance training
  • Protects employee data and maintains confidentiality
  • Builds, inspires, and leads teams/individuals in alignment with the Human Capital Strategy
  • Hires, develops, and retains top talent
  • Supports HR Service Delivery Model and encourages employee engagement
  • Drives consistency and sustainability with initiatives throughout the operation
  • Fosters change leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or related field
  • 3-5 years of Human Resource experience, including experience leading and developing professionals
  • PHR certification desired
  • Previous project management skills required
