About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and people-first HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations at our Pennsylvania facility. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a steadfast commitment to fostering a compliant and secure work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the HR team to develop and execute new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Manage administrative processes for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including data entry into the HR technology platforms and ensure accuracy and compliance through rigorous internal auditing.
- Deliver effective and dedicated Human Resources advisory services to employees concerning health insurance, absences, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relation issues.
- Serve as the primary backup for payroll processing, which involves weekly and semi-monthly updates to employee files, accurate tracking of time off, processing exceptions, validating hourly employee data, and managing benefit changes.
- Aid in the communication, interpretation, and maintenance of the employee handbook, employee directory, and organization chart.
- Contribute to the formulation of policies and support the implementation of HR-based programs and initiatives.
- Evaluate, monitor, and formally document compliance with both mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, encompassing employee handbook training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Address employment-related inquiries from applicants and employees, including members of the management team, escalating complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Participate in and attend employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices.
- Maintain current knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory amendments, and emerging technologies within human resources and employment law.
- Support direct-hire recruiting efforts - coordinating, scheduling, handling on-site interview logistics and ensure a positive candidate experience at the facility level
- Communicate professionally and warmly with all stakeholders, daily

Qualifications and Required Skills / Abilities
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication, interpersonal relations, and conflict resolution is essential.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is a must.
- Exceptional organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail are requisite.
- Proficiency in analytical and problem-solving methodologies is required.
- The ability to effectively manage competing priorities is necessary.
- A comprehensive and current understanding of all relevant employment laws and regulations is expected.
- Must exhibit a resourceful, solution-oriented aptitude coupled with a thorough knowledge of established HR procedures and policies.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office, Human Resources Information System (HRIS), and other softwares/systems utilized in Human Resources, or demonstrate capacity to rapidly assimilate new software applications, is required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered
- 1-3 years of HR experience with increasing responsibility; logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment strongly preferred
- Certification as a SHRM-CP is considered a significant asset.
Physical Requirements
- Requires the ability to sit for extended periods while utilizing a computer.
- Occasionally required to lift objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
