HR Generalist (HR Business Partner)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
    • Manage full-cycle recruiting for manufacturing, technical, and corporate positions.
    • Partner with hiring managers and staffing agencies to support workforce planning, recruiting, and agency-to-permanent conversions.
    • Cook up interviews, candidate communications, and compliant job postings.
  • Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle Management
    • Maintain HRIS records and administer employee lifecycle changes, including promotions, transfers, and offboarding.
    • Conduct exit interviews and support employee retention initiatives.
  • Employee Relations & HR Business Partnership
    • Support employees, while supporting employee relations, workplace investigations, and performance management.
  • HR Operations & Compliance
    • Support HR operations and ensure compliance with federal and New Jersey employment laws.
  • HR Systems & Process Improvement
    • Support HRIS administration, workforce reporting, policy implementation, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Handle other HR-related tasks as assigned.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
    • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR operations.
    • Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or other fast-paced operational environments.
    • Knowledge of federal and New Jersey employment laws, including wage and hour, EEO, FMLA, ADA, I-9, and E-Verify.
    • Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP Workforce Now, UKG, Workday, Rippling, or similar systems.
    • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • Able to handle confidential information with professionalism and sound judgment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
    • Experience managing temporary staffing agencies and supporting an agency workforce in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience supporting hourly employees and shift-based operations.
    • PFR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
    • Experience participating in HRIS implementation or HR process improvement initiatives.
    • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with employees, managers, and cross-functional teams.
    • Experience leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to improve HR operations, reporting, communication, or employee experience is a plus.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Pay Range: $70,000 to $85,000 per year
