Kitchell is seeking a People Experience Generalist – Employee Lifecycle to help create a thoughtful, consistent, and engaging employee journey across our family of companies. In this highly collaborative role, you will combine hands-on HR expertise with a passion for improving the processes and experiences that connect people to our organization. You will recruit for corporate positions, strengthen recruiting operations, own the companywide onboarding and offboarding experiences, support compliance and policy administration, and use feedback and workforce data to continually improve how we serve our employees. Responsibilities

  • Lead corporate recruiting activities from requisition approval through offer acceptance.
  • Partner with hiring leaders to understand staffing needs, develop recruiting strategies, and support thoughtful selection decisions.
  • Create a positive, consistent, and responsive candidate experience.
  • Monitor recruiting activity and metrics to identify opportunities for greater effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Partner with the People Experience Coordinator to ensure recruiting-related administrative activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Administer and track the Employee Referral Program.
  • Lead and continuously improve the onboarding experience for employees across all Kitchell companies.
  • Develop and recommend communications, resources, and touchpoints that help new employees feel prepared, welcomed, and connected.
  • Coordinate with the People Experience Coordinator to ensure documentation, system transactions, and orientation activities are completed accurately and timely.
  • Gather feedback and assess onboarding effectiveness to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with leaders to support successful new-hire integration and engagement.
  • Own the employee offboarding experience and help ensure each transition is handled respectfully and consistently.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify retention trends, potential risks, and areas of opportunity.
  • Develop recommendations and action plans based on turnover insights.
  • Partner with leaders and the People Experience Coordinator to support seamless employee transitions.
  • Coordinate the review, maintenance, and administration of People Experience policies, procedures, and employee handbook content.
  • Support policy updates and related organizational communications in partnership with People Experience leadership.
  • Coordinate policy acknowledgments, compliance documentation, and workforce reporting requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant regulatory changes and help implement necessary process updates.
  • Support state and federal reporting, recordkeeping, and audit-preparation activities.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, surveys, and feedback efforts.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to reinforce Kitchell's culture, values, and commitment to its employees.
  • Prepare and analyze recruiting, turnover, retention, and workforce metrics.
  • Use employee feedback and workforce data to identify trends and recommend meaningful improvements.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employee questions related to the employee lifecycle.
  • Lead workflow and process improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, compliance, and employee satisfaction.
  • Contribute to People Experience initiatives, communications, systems improvements, and cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

  • At least three to five years of progressive, relevant human resources experience.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices, principles, procedures, compliance, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • A professional, approachable, and service-oriented communication style.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other business applications.
  • A genuine interest in improving processes and creating positive experiences for candidates, employees, and leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, compliance, reporting, and employee experience initiatives.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to local job sites or out-of-state locations.
  • This position primarily operates in a general, climate controlled, office environment.
  • This role is 100% on-site and requires remaining in a stationary position and working at a computer for extended periods, as well as occasionally moving throughout the workplace to attend meetings, access files, and use office equipment.
  • The employee must be able to communicate and exchange information effectively with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Travel may be required up to 15% of the time.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to maintain approved-driver status under Kitchell's applicable vehicle and fleet policies are required.
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle for business travel.
