Position Summary
The Human Resource Generalist supports TRDI’s mission, “To Create and Enhance Life Opportunities for People with Barriers & Disabilities,” and demonstrates the organization’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Compassion, Communication, and Courage. This role provides direct administrative and HR support to assigned job sites, ensuring consistent day-to-day operations and a positive employee experience.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Hiring Support
- Aid in executing recruiting strategies to support timely hiring needs.
- Coordinate interview scheduling and applicant communication for assigned sites.
- Partner with site leadership to understand staffing needs and workforce gaps.
- Conduct or coordinate background checks and employment eligibility verification.
- Support participation in job fairs and recruiting events.
- Onboarding & Site Administration Support
- Support onboarding processes, including scheduling, documentation, and system entry.
- Complete I-9 verification and E-Verify submissions in compliance with federal requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee data within HRIS systems (UKG) for assigned job sites.
- Afford administrative support for employee programs and site-level initiatives.
- Compliance & Records Management
- Maintain employee records in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Afford assistance with personnel file audits and ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.
- Support communication of HR policies and compliance requirements to site leadership.
- Ensure proper documentation for employment actions, including onboarding, employee relations, and separations.
- HR Programs & Policy Support
- Provide guidance to employees and supervisors by sharing approved HR policies and procedures.
- Afford assistance in administering HR programs, including leave management, performance support, and employee relations.
- Afford consistent application of policies across assigned job sites.
- Afford assistance in tracking HR activities and generating reports as needed.
- Employee Support & Customer Service
- Serve as a primary HR point of contact for employees and supervisors at assigned sites.
- Provide timely, professional support for HR-related questions, concerns, and requests.
- Afford support for employee engagement, morale, and workplace satisfaction initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with social service agencies and community partners supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Administrative & Operational Site Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative HR support for assigned job sites.
- Afford assistance with scheduling, documentation tracking, and coordination between HR and Operations.
- Afford support for site visits, audits, and reporting activities to ensure operational readiness.
- Track HR-related action items (onboarding, compliance, investigations, follow-ups) and ensure timely completion.
- Act as a liaison between site leadership and HR leadership to communicate needs and updates.
- Professional Development & Team Support
- Maintain awareness of HR trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
- Afford support to HR team members with administrative and operational tasks.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and compliance at the site level.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to travel regularly between assigned job sites as needed to provide support.

Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
