HR Generalist
Responsibilities
- Support employees and managers with HR-related questions, concerns, and guidance
- Serve as an approachable HR resource for employees across all shifts, including regular support for the overnight crew
- Administer employee benefits, onboarding, open enrollment, leave processes, and exit procedures
- Review bi-weekly payroll for accuracy and consistency
- Support recruiting efforts, including candidate screening, interview coordination, interviewing, offer support, and onboarding
- Aid in employee relations matters and workplace investigations
- Coordinate and facilitate HR training programs including OSHA, harassment prevention, and policy education
- Process HR and payroll changes, including job changes, compensation updates, and profit-sharing administration
- Partner with managers to identify workforce development and training needs
- Auxiliary with safety, workers’ compensation, and incident documentation processes
- Coordinate employee engagement and recognition activities
- Maintain compliance with HR laws, regulations, and company policies
- Provide HR presence and support across all shifts as needed
Requirements
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evening and/or early morning hours to support overnight employees
2–3 years of experience in HR, payroll, benefits, or employee administration
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable working independently and partnering with employees at all levels of the organization
Manufacturing or multi-shift environment experience preferred
HR certification preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, etc.)

About the Role
This role partners closely with the onsite HR Manager to provide day-to-day HR support for a 24/7 operation while helping foster a positive, approachable, and employee-focused workplace culture.

Schedule
Flexible schedule to support a 24/7 operation
Hours will include evening or early morning coverage needed to provide HR support to the overnight crew
