About the role
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department, including day-to-day management of personnel, communications, policy administration, onboarding new staff, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Responsibilities
- Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in administering compensation, benefit and employee performance plans.
- Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Work with operations to resolve employee relations issues. Investigate, counsel, and assist in resolving disputes and disciplinary matters.
- Manage inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Support the development and administration of programs, policies, and processes to facilitate employee and organizational development. May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Ensure legal compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- PHR or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist for a minimum of 1 year (if degree is held).
- Experience of 5 years+ in HR with full life cycle management will be considered in lieu of a degree.

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
- Paylocity experience preferred.
- DISA experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Pay
60,000 - 70,000 USD Gross Annual.
