About the role

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department, including day-to-day management of personnel, communications, policy administration, onboarding new staff, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in administering compensation, benefit and employee performance plans.
  • Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Work with operations to resolve employee relations issues. Investigate, counsel, and assist in resolving disputes and disciplinary matters.
  • Manage inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Support the development and administration of programs, policies, and processes to facilitate employee and organizational development. May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Ensure legal compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist for a minimum of 1 year (if degree is held).
  • Experience of 5 years+ in HR with full life cycle management will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Outlook.

  • Ability to be solutions and strategic minded.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Paylocity experience preferred.
  • DISA experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Pay

60,000 - 70,000 USD Gross Annual.
