About the role
Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources Function with a focus on recruiting, new hire onboarding process, Training, and Learning Management System (Success Factors).
Responsibilities
- Aid with the recruitment process including contacting candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, performing background checks, and drug screenings.
- Track and manage candidates through the Applicant Tracking System.
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation materials and training sessions.
- Administer Learning Management tools such as adding users, assigning learning curriculum, and generating reports.
- Offer excellent customer service and discretion in interactions with internal and external clients.
- Coordinate and support various employee-related programs and perks like the STAR program and iEngage.
- Update and maintain departmental logs and databases for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with operations and commercial staff to address employee relations, performance, and group issues.
- Perform audits and maintain employee personnel files.
- Assume responsibility for weekly payroll as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of HR-related experience preferred, with recruitment background and familiarity with HR systems (UKG, Success Factors, Kronos) being advantageous.
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred.
- Experience working in both union and non-union facilities is beneficial.
- Foundational knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations, employment law, compensation, recruitment, employee relations, employee engagement, and employee development is essential.
