Responsibilities

• Serve as front‑line manager for employee benefit enrollment, answer benefit questions, and guide employees on 401(k) and wellness webinars.
• Process FMLA, STD, LTD paperwork; manage LOA benefit premium agreements and collect arrears for Corporate HR.
• Complete and submit unemployment claims with supporting documentation and participate in phone hearings when needed.
• Act as recruiting liaison between managers and the Recruiting Director; create offer letters, initiate background and drug screens, and conduct new‑hire orientation.
• Ensure Paycom checklists are completed for all new hires and conduct 30‑day check‑ins to verify onboarding effectiveness.
• Maintain compliance with ADA, FMLA, OSHA, FLSA, and other regulations; perform compliance audits and ensure required posters and applications are up to date.
• Oversee safety documentation, including accident reports, OSHA logs, and state workers’ compensation notices; attend safety meetings and forward notes to Corporate HR.
• Manage payroll processes for regional locations, ensuring accurate timesheets, deductions, advances, and leave balances; coordinate with the Payroll Manager and external payroll vendor.
• Execute merit increase processes locally and maintain up‑to‑date payroll records.
• Identify training opportunities with Corporate, follow up on training results, and report outcomes.
• Track top focus areas from the Job Satisfaction Survey, summarize findings for regional leaders, and assist with town halls, manager meetings, and employee appreciation events.
• Support performance management by meeting with executive management, assisting managers with development plans, participating in performance reviews, and archiving review documentation.
• Drive HR generalist initiatives to improve survey focus areas, develop action plans with the GM, and share results with Corporate HR.
• Handle employee relations issues, keeping Corporate HR informed of potential legal exposures.
• Organize and maintain regional personnel files, assist with title work, file workers’ compensation and insurance claims, order office supplies, process employment verifications, notarize documents, and act as point of contact for cleaning staff.
• Provide customer service and phone attendant support as needed, and assist managers and projects across the region.
• Liaise with Accounting/Shared Services, train accounting staff on duties such as flooring payoffs, posting funding notices, billing, bank reconciliations, AR issues, and ordering supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (required).
• At least 5 years of related experience (required).
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college/technical school, or a combination of education and experience.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Valid driver’s license.
