Essential Job Functions
- Assist with recruitment and management of the ATS, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer coordination
- Initiate and review background checks, ensuring compliance with TDMC policy and applicable law
- Cook upboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
- Aid in payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system, with special attention to personnel actions including, but not limited to, compensation and classification changes, personnel transactions, benefit changes, and other related HR transactions
- Administer benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and open enrollment activities
- Interpret and apply company policies and procedures; assist in drafting and updating HR policies
- Advise employees and managers regarding benefits and leave programs (i.e., short-term disability, long-term disability, family medical leave (FMLA), etc.)
- Advise managers and employees on HR-related matters, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Respond to unemployment claims and participate in hearings as needed
Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- High school education or equivalent required
- Four-year degree in a related field preferred
- Three to five years of successful Human Resources experience performing similar tasks
- Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and ability to work independently
- Self-starter, flexible and adaptable to constant change, with the ability to work in a result-driven, high-demand environment
- Knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and processes
- Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues
- Knowledge of current federal and state employment law and regulations
- Ability to proactively use discretion and sound judgment when guiding supervisors and employees
- Ability to protect confidential information and communicate with impeccable discretion in all matters related to employees and internal processes
- Experience with UKG a plus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including – nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to communicate effectively with management, guests, and team members
- Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
