HR Generalist
About the role
The HR Generalist will manage HR programs, Talent Development, and policies/procedures for the business. They will be responsible for developing positive employee relations, effective communications, training & development, safety, benefits administration, recruitment & hiring. They will build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business with the highest degree of integrity and discretion.
Responsibilities

- Develop positive employee relations, effective communications, training & development, safety, benefits administration, recruitment & hiring.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business with the highest degree of integrity and discretion.
- Support all HR functions such as onboarding, benefits, compensation, and training.
- Coordinate HR related projects.
- Represent employee advocacy and strong business partner relations.
- Develop an employee-oriented culture that strives on safety, quality, continuous improvement and productivity.
- Resolve employee relations issues.
- Recommend and implement personnel policies and procedures.
- Advocate for Open Door Policy across the leadership team.
- Maintain handbook on policies and procedures.
- Foster a consistent, clear, concise communication plan.
- Plan and coordinate recruitment strategies.
- This includes sourcing (internet, job fairs, newspapers, agencies etc.), interviewing, selection, diversity initiatives, background checks, drug testing and manpower planning.
- Handle FMLA/Disability administration/Worker’s Compensation administration.
- Administer associate training, and new hire orientation.
- Participate in working groups, councils and committees.
- Serve as payroll specialist when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
You must have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience as an HR Generalist with a bachelor's degree in related field preferred. You should have thorough knowledge of wide range of HR/legal standards & regulations, programs, processes, and tools in all areas ranging from recruitment, benefits, training, and payroll. You should be self-starting, results-oriented, team oriented, able to handle multiple projects and priorities as well as deal with ambiguity, demonstrate a strong attention to detail, have advanced computer literacy, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word, and be willing to work additional hours to cover off shifts for communication rhythms. You should also be willing to relocate to other Stanley Black & Decker facilities as necessary.

Skills

$62,200.00 - $100,200.00
