HR Generalist
About the role
As the HR Generalist, reporting to the HR Manager - Texas, you will provide HR support to the HR Manager, Site Operations, and regional and global Human Resources teams. You will support recruiting, onboarding, the Intern and Co-op Program, benefits, timekeeping, payroll, policies and procedures, records management, reporting, employee inquiries, site visits, and employee events. Additionally, you will coordinate multi-site HR processes, maintain accurate employee data, and escalate complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR partner.
Responsibilities
- Manage HR service requests by documenting inquiries, providing timely follow-up, resolving routine matters, and escalating complex or sensitive issues as appropriate.
- Provide first-level support for payroll, benefits, HR policies, timekeeping, PTO, holidays, bereavement, leave-related questions, open enrollment, and general employee service needs.
- Coordinate recruiting, onboarding, and Intern and Co-op Program activities, including candidate communication, interview scheduling, pre-employment steps, I-9 coordination, orientation support, program communications, and new hire support.
- Maintain HRIS/HCM data, employee records, trackers, and documentation for assigned HR processes, reporting needs, offboarding, reimbursements, incentives, and HR operations activities.
- Prepare and support HR reporting, including training completion, LMS follow-up, man-hours, overtime, PTO, and recurring or ad hoc reports.
- Provide administrative, site coordination, and vendor support for HR-related invoices, drug screens, physicals, safety glasses, uniforms, career fairs, flu clinics, random drug testing, HR events, and related activities.
- Maintain multi-site Pulse SharePoint pages by updating HR content, posting site communications, organizing resources, and keeping information accurate and accessible.
- Recommend process improvements that reduce duplication, simplify workflows, and strengthen HR service delivery across sites.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support employees, leaders, HR partners, and site operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Associate’s degree in business, human resources, or related field preferred; equivalent HR or administrative experience may be considered.
- Minimum of two years of HR, payroll, benefits, recruiting, or HR administrative support experience.
- Experience with payroll review and systems, ADP preferred.
- Experience supporting employees through centralized inbox, ticketing, or multi-site HR support processes preferred.
- Experience with HRIS data management and reporting, preferably Oracle HCM.
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint.
