About The Role
The role drives people-operations initiative and employee experience for a growing, remote-first workforce. It serves as the primary advisor to employees and managers on core HR programs, including performance management, employee relations, onboarding, and compliance. This position partners closely with talent acquisition and finance teams to scale internal processes, implement HR technologies, and cultivate a high-performance culture across several cross-functional organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding lifecycles, ensuring a seamless remote transition and setup for new team members.
- Administer benefits, leaves of absence, compensation reviews, and payroll processing in partnership with finance.
- Advise managers on complex employee relations issues, conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and termination risks.
- Maintain high compliance standards across multi-state employment laws, international contractor relations, and internal audit requirements.
- Owrd data integrity and reporting inside the HRIS (e.g., Rippling, BambooHR) and performance management platforms (e.g., Lattice).
- Design and roll out people-operations programs, including annual engagement surveys, manager training, and peer-review processes.
What We Are Looking For
- 4-7 years of HR Generalist or HRBP experience, preferably within a fast-paced technology company or modern startup environment.
- Strong working knowledge of US federal, state, and local employment laws, including CA and NY compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience administering modern HRIS, payroll, and equity systems (such as Rippling, Gusto, Carta, or Sequoia).
- Excellent communication and mediation skills, with a track record of handling sensitive matters with high empathy and confidentiality.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
- Bonus: Professional certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) and experience scaling international remote teams.
