Responsibilities
- Advise managers and employees on workplace matters, helping resolve concerns with fairness, consistency, and sound judgment.
- Support performance-related processes by guiding documentation, coaching conversations, corrective actions, and retention-focused follow-up.
- Participate in employee relations reviews and workplace investigations while ensuring appropriate handling of sensitive issues and policy application.
- Cook up onboarding activities and contribute to training and career development efforts that strengthen employee engagement.
- Aid in recruiting activities such as posting openings, scheduling interviews, tracking candidate progress, and helping maintain compliant hiring practices.
- Maintain accurate personnel records, HR files, and routine reporting while safeguarding confidential employee information.
- Partner with payroll, benefits, and other internal teams to ensure smooth execution of core HR processes and employee support services.
- Monitor HR activities for alignment with federal, state, and local employment regulations as well as institutional standards.
- Contribute to special HR initiatives, process enhancements, and program implementation that improve operational effectiveness.
- Use HR systems and Microsoft Office tools to manage documentation, workflows, and reporting needs across the employee lifecycle.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of human resources experience, including work in employee relations, compliance, or general HR operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of employment law and practical HR policies and procedures.
- Experience supporting onboarding, HR administration, benefits-related coordination, and employee documentation.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with employees and leadership.
- Ability to manage confidential information with sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- HR certification, such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or a comparable credential, is a plus.
