Responsibilities
- Guide new team members through the onboarding process, including employment documentation, work authorization verification, and entry into required HR systems.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, source and screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support selection for open positions.
- Administer employee-focused programs such as recognition initiatives, training activities, safety-related coordination, and development efforts.
- Support employee relations matters by participating in investigations, disciplinary discussions, and separation processes as needed.
- Oversee unemployment claim activity and maintain related documentation and account information with accuracy and timeliness.
- Process weekly and semi-monthly payroll transactions while helping ensure employee data and pay-related records remain current.
- Maintain organized and accurate HR files, records, and system updates to support compliance and reporting needs.
- Communicate clearly with managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, concerns, and ongoing initiatives.
- Provide daily administrative and operational support across HR functions, including assistance to HR leadership and other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Experience supporting core human resources functions such as onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration.
- Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and the ability to maintain employee information accurately across systems.
- Familiarity with payroll processing practices for multiple pay schedules, including weekly and semi-monthly cycles.
- Ability to assist with recruiting activities, including candidate screening, interview coordination, and collaboration with hiring managers.
- Understanding of employment documentation, compliance practices, and work authorization verification procedures such as E-Verify.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to address HR matters professionally and constructively.
- Highly organized approach to recordkeeping, documentation, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
