Key responsibilities of the role
- Support Regional Head HR with strategic business initiatives
- Collaborate with a variety of global HR functions and contribute to process efficiencies, global standardization and project work
- Lead the employee lifecycle activities for our US, Canada, and Brazil offices, including:
- Onboarding and offboarding – lead orientation for new joiners and exit process for leavers
- Manage employees’ internal transfers and assignments
- Manage employee leave cases, including coordination of company-paid leave, FMLA, CO-FAMLI, disability benefits
- Employee file and documentation management in HRIS
- Support on benefits administration topics, including open enrollment
- Manage work authorization process, including visa and green card processes in coordination with immigration counsel
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws (including EEOC, ADA, FMLA, state mandated FMLA, and other employment regulations) and stay abreast of legislation changes
- Serve as a point of contact for all employee questions regarding benefits, policies and employee relations
- Support with employee relations case management
- Back-up support for multi-state payroll including long-term incentives, benefits plans, and preparation of all necessary reporting
- Process improvement mindset
- Actively contribute to global HR projects to further develop the HR function
- Prepare HR reports, statistics, and data upon request
- Gain a thorough understanding of the business by staying informed about industry trends, Partners Group culture, company policies, and organizational structures
- Respond and resolve employee inquires through ticketing portal (ServiceNow)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
- 5-10 years of relevant work experience in Human Resources, ideally in financial or professional services and global, complex environments
- Excellent communication skills; strong desire to learn; high attention to detail; effective interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented, high-volume environment
- Ability to prioritize and work independently being resourceful and adaptable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Excel
- Extensive experience with HR systems, preferably SuccessFactors and ADP Workforce Now
- Proven ability to analyze data from diverse sources to identify key insights and trends, driving informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effectively supporting employees and businesses on HR matters
