HR Generalist

About the role

As the Human Resource Generalist, you will support the human resources needs of the business units and implement best practices to assist in achieving corporate objectives. This role involves employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, policy implementation, coaching, and collaboration with other HR functions on benefits, safety, and payroll. You will perform HR-related duties professionally, working with senior HR management to support designated business units while building relationships and credibility across departments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations regarding employee relations matters, safety, performance issues, or policy violations; review results with supervision and recommend courses of action.
• Work with management to coach, discipline, and resolve employee, team, or business issues.
• Assist with recruitment for non-exempt, temporary, and internal transfer positions, following internal and external candidate interview, selection, and hiring processes.
• Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientations, assist with onboarding, and create a welcoming environment.
• Conduct employee feedback meetings, participate in management updates, and implement changes to improve the work environment and employee relations.
• Coach supervisors and management on employee relations matters and assist with communicating business changes.
• Engage with employees to answer questions about benefits, transfers, wages, and working conditions; escalate concerns as needed.
• Assist with HR compliance audits for designated facilities.
• Provide guidance on leave processes and notify management of employee needs.
• Develop and facilitate learning and training programs for employees and management.
• Serve as a liaison between management and employees, handling questions, interpreting policies, and resolving work-related issues.
• Assist with validating time and attendance for payroll processing.
• Coordinate facility celebrations and recognition initiatives.
• Maintain integrity, professionalism, fairness, and confidentiality in all job aspects.
• Work effectively with others, maintaining constructive working relationships.
• Actively participate in departmental meetings, training, and education; assist with training and providing backup.
• Complete other duties, assignments, and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of Human Resource experience, including employee relations in a manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual (Spanish – English) preferred.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
