HR Generalist

Summary The HR Generalist delivers day-to-day HR support across the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, and HR process administration. This role partners closely with HR Business Partners and HR COEs to ensure consistent, compliant, and efficient HR service delivery. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day HR guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and best practices, including inquiries across HR functional areas (e.g., payroll, benefits, leaves of absence, etc.)Support with employee onboarding, including coordinating with the training team and conducting New Hire OrientationConduct exit interviews and share insights with leadership to inform follow-up actions and retention strategiesCoach and guide managers through the performance management process, including goal setting, feedback conversations, and documentationSupport managers in developing and issuing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs); monitor progress and advise on next stepsServe as a first point of contact for employee relations issues; conduct investigations and resolve concerns in accordance with company policies and practices.Administer HR processes, including OSV’s Learning Management System (LMS), Form I-9s, UI administration, EEO-1 reporting, ADA accommodations, employee communications, and verification requests.Serve as the primary administrator for HR transactions within the HRIS (e.g., new hires, changes, terminations, etc.), ensuring data accuracy and integrityPartner with HRBPs and HR COEs to support the administration of HR programs and initiatives, including data gathering, reporting, process enhancements, and ad-hoc projects.Audit HR systems via routine reporting and identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and workflows, with a focus on efficiency and scalabilityAdditional duties as assigned Competencies Relationship managementConsultation & coachingCommunication & influenceDiscretion & confidentiality in handling sensitive informationAnalytical & problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize and interpret complex informationPrioritization & multitasking in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment Qualifications Education/Certification Requirement Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience Required 3+ years of progressive HR experience, including exposure to employee relations and performance managementWorking knowledge of employment law fundamentals (FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.)Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coach and influence managers at all levelsProficient in MS Office and HR Systems Preferred PHR/SHRM-CP CertificationExperience with Workday HRISExperience in supporting a payroll services, consulting, or business process outsourcing company You are encouraged to learn and share ideas when you join the OneSource Virtual team.
