About the role
The HR Generalist plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources team at Mach Industries. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, this individual is responsible for managing various administrative tasks and fostering a positive employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS and related systems.
- Prepare and maintain HR reports and metrics for leadership decision-making.
- Partner to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, leave administration, and workplace postings.
- Aid in internal audits and regulatory reporting.
- Support policy updates and communicate changes effectively to employees.
- Serve as a primary initial point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Provide clear, timely, and professional responses to employees while maintaining confidentiality.
- Escalate complex issues to HR leadership as appropriate.
- Cook up and lead new hire orientation sessions to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
- Manage onboarding documentation and ensure compliance with all required forms and processes.
- Partner with managers to deliver a positive and engaging employee experience.
- Coordinate and lead recognition programs and employee engagement activities.
- Support the development of creative initiatives to foster inclusion, collaboration, and morale.
- Maintain working knowledge of benefits administration and HR systems.
- Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to recommend process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of HR experience with exposure to multiple HR disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Human Resources practices and principles.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
