HR Generalist
About the role
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will perform HR-related duties on a professional level and work closely with the HR Director to support the overall mission of the organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Employee Relations, Talent Management, Credentialing Support, New Manager Training, Career Pathway Development, Student Relations, and retention programs.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the Employee Relations process, which may include investigations and employee and manager coaching.
- Assist in New Manager Training and the development of materials for training sessions.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Participate in new hire orientation, employee recognition programs, and employee incentive programs.
- Assist in administration of student scholarships and awards programs, tuition reimbursement, and developing Career Pathways with local and regional colleges and universities as well as local, state, and national grant sources.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, recognition, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field (preferred).
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, CHRM-CSP, CHR, or CHHR certification (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources.
- Customer service experience (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

Pay
Pay Range: $29.73 - $43.11 per hour. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on relevant work experience, education, certification and licensure, and internal equity.
